Azets
Azets is an award-winning leading firm of Accountants and Business Advisors operating across the UK, Nordics and the USA. We are a family of over 6,500 employees and work across 100 offices in the UK alone. We have seen dramatic growth in recent years which has made us the 9th largest accountancy firm in the UK, and we are over the moon to have been awarded Accountancy Firm of the Year in the FD Excellence Survey 2020. As a result of this growth, we are now looking to invest in our skills set even further!
Our values are our motivations:
Our values are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for people who also believe in these drivers as we work together to achieve success for both our colleagues and our clients alike. As a business we believe we are stronger together. We share knowledge, ask for help and empower each other to achieve more collectively. We are open minded and value everyone’s contribution, embracing our differences and fostering a culture of trust and inclusion. We look for people who adapt quickly to change, finding smart ways to deliver the best results and remain one step ahead. Does that sound like you?
Requirements:
To get the job that you’ll love
For us, the personal attributes of each of our employees are what makes us authentic in the marketplace. We look for people who can collaborate with peers but can also bring their own voice to the table. We want people who are dynamic in their approach and respectful of other people’s opinions. We are looking for someone who want to be more than just a team member, but who wants to join a family of likeminded individuals.
As part of your role as an Accounts and Business Services Senior you will be working to produce complex annual statutory accounts and management accounts for clients while starting to offer advice on best practice and recommendations for partner review. As well as providing support to your clients from an accounting perspective, you will also be working with more junior team members as a mentor to answer day to day queries and guide their journey. In addition, you will be involved in the preparation of corporate and personal tax returns and experience of this would be preferable.
As you progress in your experience, your journey will continue via mentorship by the senior management team to provide soft skills development such as more effective client management and also steps towards staff management.
For this position, you will be studying towards/or qualified in a recognized Accountancy Qualification (ACCA/ICAS) and will be keen to continue your development within practice. However, candidates which are qualified by experience would also be considered. In addition, you will be experienced working for an accountancy firm previously and understand the importance of strong client relationships. You will be comfortable liaising with clients directly and ensuring any queries are handled quickly and efficiently. Future progression opportunities will be available within both staff and client management.
A note from the Hiring Manager;
“This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking office on an initial 1 year FTC. You will gain experience in working with a wide range of clients from a variety of different sectors whilst preparing annual accounts, management accounts, VAT returns and providing ad hoc business advice and giving direct support to management. A great chance to join a positive team, gain fantastic experience and have some fun along the way!"
