Financial Accountant

Operating as a Financial Accountant, reporting to the CFO, this role has full responsibility for all transactions and month end procedures. The role of Financial Accountant covers all aspects of finance and works in partnership with the CFO to guide the business's future growth.

Client Details

The client is an ASX listed group that specialises in working with landowners to re-position undervalued farmland into investment grade agricultural assets, and through growth requires a Financial Accountant to join their business.

The business is backed by a highly experienced team with exposure to agribusiness, capital markets and agricultural investment, commercial supply chains as well as large scale land development and management.

The company's development projects are supported by local execution partners with extensive horticultural and generational farming experience.

Description

- Reporting to the CFO, responsible for month end closure and reporting

- Processing AP/AR & Payroll (11 staff)

- company accounts and debtors

- Project Accounting, implementing improved, efficient processes

- A super user of Xero

Profile

The successful candidate will be operating either in general practice or commerce, be seeking to move into the role of Financial Accountant in commerce, have extensive experience of Xero and experience of project accounting, or large asset acquisitions and improvements.

A strong all round accounting knowledge with a flexible, can do attitude will see this person excel, reporting directly to the CFO, this is a 2ic role that will expand and grow as the business continues to trend through its upward growth phase.

A formal accounting qualification is necessary, either CPA or CA (or equivalent) although the ideal window is 0-3 years post qualification, candidates who are qualified by experience, or who are Xero super users with similar sector experience will be considered.
