Graduate - Finance

A 3-year programme through which you will become a financial leader of the future.

You will immediately enter a role with real responsibility, business partnering critical areas of the British Airways business. You could be influencing investment decisions on our onboard products, or driving sales innovation with our revenue management team, all whilst keeping a constant focus on value creation. You will experience three varied roles where you can develop and maximise your quick-thinking, eye for detail, analytical ability and ambition.

You will also be sponsored to gain a professional finance qualification of your choice – ICAEW (ACA), CIMA or ACCA.

You could be influencing investment decisions on our onboard products, analysing commercial decisions on network growth opportunities, or negotiating with our vast supplier network to maintain cost competitiveness.

You’ll be given the go-ahead to challenge the status quo, and use your innovative ideas to add value to everything you do.

We have influential Finance teams sitting in every department. You’ll make the most of your three years via three rotating placements, experiencing different ideas and projects across the business – all while building your network along the way.

You’ll quickly become an invaluable asset within any team, experiencing the breadth and depth of opportunities that only one of the world's biggest and best-known airlines can provide.

Development & progression

The programme will enable you to hone your financial acumen and will facilitate you becoming a leader of the future. Your dedicated graduate team and line manager will work with you on personalised development plans, ensuring you extract maximum value from your placements. We’ll also sponsor and support you to gain your preferred professional finance qualification – CIMA, ACCA or ACA (ICAEW) – so that you can follow in the footsteps of our most successful graduates, whether it's into Finance Business Partnering, Fleet Planning, Strategy or Financial Reporting.

About you

You’ll need to be on course for a 2:2 degree (or equivalent) or above in any subject. You will be commercially aware, have strong communication skills, and will demonstrate an ability to influence others. You will also have keen problem-solving skills, with a willingness to face up to business challenges in creative and strategic ways.

You must have the right to live and work full-time in the UK indefinitely without sponsorship from British Airways.

The team

You could be based in many teams within the British Airways Finance Department and will rotate into three different roles during the 3-year programme.
