Core objective of the role

The successful candidate will work within the Finance team, providing assistance to the Senior Accountant and other team members to carry out BAU reporting and analysis for Senior Management. We are looking for a high quality, driven individual to join the tam who is an adaptable and flexible team worker.

Role summary – key tasks

The key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the following:

– Provide assistance to the Senior Accountant in the following areas:

o Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts for 5 business entities (including companies in Hong Kong, Channel Islands and UK), with variance analysis

o Produce and maintain balance sheet reconciliations

o Completing statutory returns, including VAT returns and FSA returns, as well as other surveys (National statistics and Compeer)

o Preparation of financial statements for 5 business entities and liaising with external auditors

o Preparation of the annual budget and reforecasting

o Produce cost centre reporting for heads of department

o Dealing with any ad-hoc queries and analysis from the business

– Maintain Sales ledger processing, including:

o Raising and receipting customer sales invoices on a monthly and quarterly basis

o Liaise with fund administrators on monthly and quarterly income streams

o Liaising with other teams within the Business to ensure fees are correct and have had the appropriate approval

o Responsible for monitoring outstanding management fees and liaising with the relevant Front Office representatives to collect these fees in a timely manner

– Responsible for completing monthly bank reconciliations

– Raising and settlement of intercompany invoices

– Work alongside accounts associate to produce team procedure notes

Personal skills, knowledge and talents

– Newly qualified ACCA (or similar)

– Oracle systems experience preferable

– Excellent communication skills; a good standard of oral and written communication

– Absolute focus on client service, including awareness of cultural differences in working practices

– Excellent Microsoft Excel skills

– Intermediate/advanced level of IT literacy (MS Office, especially Word, PowerPoint)

– Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritise
