A growing medium sized independent accountancy practice with brand new modern offices in the heart of Manchester are seeking an audit assistant to join their dynamic team. The firm offer a wide range of accounting services including accounting, cloud accounting, audit, tax and many more. The firm work with a wide range of clients with turnovers ranging from up to £200million.
Your new role
As an Audit Assistant you will work on audit assignments (80% of your role) as part of a wider team, most of your audit work will be office based. As an assistant you will assist in the planning of audit/accounts working files, conducting audit work in accordance with the agreed procedures, professionally represent the firm and its interests in dealings with clients and other professionals. You will learn to carry out accounts preparation for limited companies including tax computations. This will be a highly progressive role whereby you will need to allow for progression opportunities.
What you'll need to succeed
The firm are looking for a keen individual that firstly possesses strong interpersonal and communications skills. You will need to have an accurate and methodical approach to work and some previous experience of working in an accountancy practice. You will need to have a strong eye for detail, be able to take on ownership/responsibility and consider problems as a challenge.
