IHS Markit WSO is the industry leader in leveraged loan and high-yield solutions and provides comprehensive products and services for portfolio management, servicing, reporting, and analysis. Our portfolio management solution gives immediate access to real-time reference and transactional loan data. Its functionality is tailored to handle the unique behavior of bank loans and compliance reporting required for complex structures.
The Client Solutions group provides third-level support to our clients across all the products within the IHS Markit WSO product suite. Business analysts provide subject matter expertise on the loan industry and WSO to deliver solutions to issues reported by our clients. The group is responsible for providing clients with details on how features work, explanations on financial calculations, and guidance on the best practices for using our software. They also provide regular updates to the product suite though Cumulative Update releases and give clients a voice in future product development.

Position Summary
The candidate should have prior experience understanding, analyzing, and generating business requirements and consequently delivering the requirements to production working closely with the development and testing counterparts. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned business analyst with prior experience of the Loans asset classes and a focus on financial accounting and reporting. The candidate will have experience modelling financial calculations, such as yield and gain/loss. They will also have experience onboarding clients on new software.

Duties and Accountabilities
• Managing a task through all stages of the software development life cycle and working with stakeholders/clients to define and execute the project
• Coordinating across different product teams to optimize client satisfaction and efficiency
• Becoming an industry expert and understanding the operational and reporting needs of our clients
• Supporting the Product Support team by working with them to define task details and priority for clients to ensure that a complete solution is delivered in the expected time frame
• Specifying requirements for each task by communication with client and input from internal areas that may have additional information on the functionality or proposed solution
• Clearly define the scope of work and document requirements for any task that will provide detailed information to the Development and Quality Assurance teams to plan their part of the life cycle appropriately
• Document the project throughout the software development life cycle to ensure transparency to stakeholders
• Support all product features if clients have questions or concerns regarding the functionality

Business Competencies
Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in the field of technology or finance required and 2+ years of prior experience as a Business Analyst
Commercial Awareness

• A unique blend of business expertise along with technology
• Knowledge of Structured Finance Obligations, including CLOs, CBOs, and Swaps
• Experience using the Agile Scrum Methodology
• 2+ years of experience with software marketing/product management
• 2+ years of project management to ensure milestone completion
• Experience in financial accounting (syndicated loans market)
• Experience in financial reporting (syndicated loans market)
