Accounting Expert in R2R with German

Key Tasks:
  • Responsible for the complete, timely execution of the Accounting Operations in good quality in the area of Financial Accounting according to the defined processes and activity split.
  • Contribute to the reliability of the books in scope of responsibility allowing a certification by external auditors.
  • Prepare closing (incl. postings) and reporting for dedicated company for HBI and HBII.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly and yearly closing and reporting activities.
  • Close cooperation with external auditor, provide relevant documents, coordinate and/or answer questions, check audit report.
  • Act as a main point of contact for managing director of respective legal entity, internal auditors and ICS Manager (Business Partner Role).
  • Close contact to business partners from different field to assess the need of posting/documenting and to ensure proper application of accounting standards (BKA) and HGB regulations.
  • Support on tax audits.
  • Calculate and post deferred taxes.
  • Provide quarterly tax planning and data for tax declaration.
  • Posting and control of postings in connection with actuarial pension obligations and assets (IFRS, HGB, StB).
  • Performing contract valuation according to IFRS and HGB.
  • Creating and approving of transfer orders to settle invoices.
  • Preparing Impairment Test.
  • Taking care of master data of accounts, opening and closing of booking periods, start of interest runs.
  • Cooperating with internal stakeholders from different areas: Management Accounting, Product Costing, SSCDN, Procurement, Controlling, Accounting Platform.
  • Cooperating and keeping good relation with external suppliers and auditors.


Qualification & Competencies:
  • Business studies degree, preferable in finance and accounting or certified accounting specialist.
  • Certificate in international Accounting (CINA).
  • Several years of working experience in finance and/or accounting, incl. group reporting.
  • Long-term experience with external auditors.
  • Advanced ERP / BI knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Language skills: German and English fluently.
  • Familiar with MS office and related software.
  • High ability to solve problems and to structure and simplify complex tasks.
  • Dedication and accuracy, strong organizational skills, ability to make decisions and eager to learn.
  • Motivation, communication, personal drive on high level and ability to operate in a highly intercultural environment.
