The HR Business Analyst is responsible for managing HR reporting processes, by ensuring accurate analysis and providing valuable feedback of human resources data for the business and management teams, and to enable effective business decision making and cost control.

The role will improve the quality and integrity of payroll reporting including cost centre reporting analysis and feedback to HR & cost centre managers. The role will also be involved in regional initiatives related to HR analytics.

This role will also identify and implement initiatives using technology and HR Systems to streamline and automate HR processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completion of the monthly executive summaries for the Finance & HR packs relating to payroll such as; Headcount Reporting, Leave and Leave Liability Reporting, Payroll Cost reporting & variance analysis, Turnover Reports Social Reporting statistics for the PR Group Annual Reporting and other payroll reporting requirements for Insurance, NZ Statistics & ACC purposes.
  • Ensuring that such reports are presented in an organised and systematic fashion for the end user.
  • Support the implementation of standardised reporting to remove waste / double up of reports.
  • Quarterly HR scorecard generation.
  • Responsible for generating monthly reports from the HRIS and providing them to the general ledger team. Understanding general ledger entries and movements that is critical for monthly reporting.
  • Responsible for managing the preparation of payroll budgets and forecasts in conjunction with relevant HR Managers, Finance teams and Cost Centre Managers.
  • Management of payroll reporting & variance analysis including commentary and DTG analysis.
  • Reconcile all budgets and estimates loaded into JD Edwards and eliminate any differences.
  • Prepare relevant month end reports and ensure information is accurate and on time.
  • Benchmarking, Remuneration & Benefits.
  • Support the Regional HR Manager (C&B, HRIS, Analytics) in other local remuneration & benefits processes as required.
  • Fully utilise the current HRIS (Workday) and gain good understanding of the system functionality to support systemisation of reporting.
  • Support all regional tasks and projects (including USA & Spain) related to compensation & benefits, HRIS & analytics, as requested.
  • Investigate new HRIS functionality to implement a budget & forecast tool.

Key Requirements:
  • At least 3 years financial business analyst experience in a corporate and/or operations environment
  • Very strong reporting and analysis skills with advanced excel skills
