Assistant Accountant

This is a full-time, permanent role joining the business during an exciting period of change and natural growth. The Assistant Accountant role will work alongside and within an inclusive and supportive working environment. You will be working directly alongside the Finance Manager in a very forward thinking organisation with an established wider finance team.

Description

The responsibilities include:

• Full ownership of Accounts Receivable/ Accounts Payable

• Preparing accounts to trial balance and beyond

• Posting monthly journals such as accruals, prepayments, payroll

• Cash-flow management

• Sales and variance analysis

• Preparing weekly and monthly reports

• Balance sheet reconciliations

• Bank reconciliations

• Payroll duties and pension management

• Cash management

• Managing supplier queries and monthly supplier payment runs

• Manage and improve internal approval processes

• Maintain good supplier relationships and ensure service agreements and contracts are adhered to

Profile

The successful candidate will:

• Have at least 2/3 years experience within a similar role

• Have a positive can-do attitude

• Ideally have gone to University or studied a relevant qualification

• Be positive, confident and assertive

• Be able to commute to Canary Wharf

Job Offer

On offer to the candidate is:

• A salary between £30k - £35k
