Client Details
Our client is an international Automotive business, based outside Cambridge in Cottenham who distribute products all over the world.
Description
The successful Management Accountant will be responsible for:
- Maintain, update and continuously develop planning, budgeting and forecasting systems and practices to enable and drive the future growth of including creating clear time lines and management budgeting and forecasting process within set time lines
- Prepare monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts
- Communicate to internal and external stakeholders around management accounts
- Act as a business partner to P&L owners to identify and pursue opportunities to improve performance and act as a thought leader and coordinator with shareholder companies
- Arrange monthly review meetings
- Supervise, motivate and manage any direct reports
- Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems (primarily Sage)
- Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
- Create systems to prevent errors in MI data collection and calculations
- Report to the Chief Information Officer and other Directors as applicable with timely and accurate financial information
- Assist in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members
- Support with year-end audit
- Preparation of year end reporting pack
- Ad hoc Financial analysis and reporting as and when required
- Supporting and working closely with Finance Controller and Finance team
- Deputising in the Finance Controller's absence
- Ad hoc duties as required from time to time
Profile
The successful candidate will be
- A qualified accountant
- SAP experience
- have dealt with multiple entities
- Ability to manage workload and multiple priorities within tight deadlines
- Highly numerate and strong analysis skills with strong attention to detail
- Strategic, solution-based thinker with an ability to think laterally
- Demonstrable Excel skills
Job Offer
The Management Accountant position comes with a salary of £45-50,000.
