Senior Manager Operational Risk

Aston Carter are partnering with a leading domestic Financial Services group in the establishment of a newly created, best in class Operational Risk and Compliance division. The group are a leading domestic banking group, they place a large focus on employee engagement and long term career development. The Senior Manager and Manager vacancies in the Operational Risk division are the first hires to support the Director in building out the division.

The role is focused around internal advisory and establishment of a best in class function to support their Wealth, Retail and Business Banking divisions. Main priorities of the roles include;

- Review of the current environment and establishment of a revised best in class risk and controls framework.
- Provision of operational risk advice to the business, including regular consultation with operating divisions and senior leadership.
- Planning and executing risk review and remediation engagements.
- Partnering with external advisory groups to deliver a
- Provision of SOX Controls Testing in partnership with the Internal Audit division and implementation of a stronger Controls Framework.

To be successful in this role you will have experience across Operational Risk, Compliance or Internal Audit. In addition you will have commenced your career in a consulting environment (ideally with the Big 4) providing Risk or Audit services to the Financial Services/Insurance sectors. In addition to this, a strong interpersonal skillset and a willingness to partner with senior executives and business leaders to drive a risk culture and a best practice environment.
