Our client is a market leader in the Digital & Advertising industry who are seeking a strong Payroll Officer to join their friendly payroll team on a pert time basis 3 days per week based conveniently in Melbourne CBD that is within walking distance to public transport. Due to the current Payroll Officer going on leave this will be a 3 month Temp contract opportunity.
Role:
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this Payroll Officer will be responsible for overseeing all payroll requirements and tasks as the end to end function has been outsourced externally.
Key duties and responsibilities will include the following:
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a candidate who has exceptional communication skills and proven experience in end to end payroll in a high volume environment. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years payroll experience. You will be a self starter who enjoys working independently, and be keen to continue learning and developing in your role. You will be a quick learner who enjoys a challenge and will enjoy partnering with across Human Resources and Finance. This person will need to have experience with using the IChris or Chris 21 systems. You will also need to have an understanding of different states payroll legislation's.

- Accurate and timely oversight processing of the fortnightly (650 employees) payroll
- Maintain employee online system
- Setting up new starters, termination and redundancy calculations
- Dealing with payroll queries
- Streamlining of payroll processes & procedures.
- Assist internal stakeholders with policy or procedure related queries/direct to Payroll as required
- Maintain HRIS email inbox
