The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Consultant within the Accounting Compliance & Reporting team in our Melbourne office. This role is offered on a flexible full time basis.

Your key responsibilities
  • As a financial statement specialist, you will support our clients with their accounting and statutory reporting obligations, through their financial statement close process and preparation of financial statements.
  • Applying your organisational and project management skills you will work across multiple projects and clients, collaborating with our global network of resources.
Skills and attributes for success
  • Experienced in preparation of single entity to consolidated financial statements
  • Previous experience in providing financial statement preparation support in a business services/corporate services/outsourced accounting/shared service capacity, preferably within a chartered environment.
  • Expertise in Australian Accounting Standards or International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Excellent client facing skills with the confidence to build a network
  • Experienced client and stakeholder management
  • Proven ability to lead projects and teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detail
  • Expertise with financial statement preparation software (such as Caseware, Thomson Reuters Onesource Accounts Production).
Ideally, you'll also have
  • Completed or undertaking CA/CPA/ACCA qualifications.
  • Proficient knowledge of accounting software (such as SAP, MS Dynamic NAV, SAGE, NetSuite, Xero or MYOB).
  • Experience in supporting with business process improvement
