Journey Expert - Trade Lifecycle Upgrade
The purpose of the Murex upgrade Trade lifecycle upgrade project leadership team is to lead and manage the complex, multi-stream, multi-year and multi-product migration rollout of the Murex platform within Global Markets. The Journey Expert role encompasses three critical key accountability areas:
Gate-keeper (or Config controller) of config, workflow build, GOM and other such critical foundational aspects of the Murex platform
Design liaison point with Murex (vendor) on the vendor provided components – config, patches, build user guides and implementation user process guides
User-centred Design Evangelist - User liaison point with the users across Front-to-back (be the voice of the user in terms of functionality, Straight through processing, exception-based workflows and clear demarcation of user roles, access points and related controls.
As a Journey Expert, you will help prioritise, help select the right solution option and influence a multi-disciplinary team ('Squad') to pursue its mission, by guiding them on 'How' the work should be completed by the squad. The Journey Expert constantly challenges solution points based on their alignment to agreed standards, design guiding principles and pertaining to user-centred design. The Journey Expert also ensures that the work is strategically aligned to the critical project objectives and engages with the stream-wise Product Owners (Front-to-back) to align and help decouple conflicts and interdependencies. Whilst this role is not a people manager, it is a key leadership role, galvanising the squad around a vision and supporting them to successfully deliver customer value at pace.

- Deep understanding of the challenges faced by business product owners (ala Stream Leads)
- Deep experience in Murex platform(both 2.11 and 3.1), its foundational aspects and a top-to-bottom expertise in being able to analyse and articulate impacts across the inter-dependent building blocks within the platform (GOM, Workflow, OSP, Config and related murex foundational building blocks)
- Ability to solve blocker problems whilst also ensuring design and build principles are not compromised.
- Proven analysis, modelling and business functional skills in the context of Global Markets, and a track record in turning insights, ideas and approaches into implemented solutions
- Experience in bringing together people from across the value chain to deliver business change, considering multiple perspectives and competing priorities
- Proven ability to translate insights in business initiatives and then execute to deliver value
- Very strong communication skills, with solid experience in messaging complicated portfolio information to senior stakeholder groups
- Demonstrable experience & commitment of putting data at the heart of all customer engagement initiation, execution, and monitoring/iteration.
