Credit Solutions Analyst

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to fill the position of Credit Solutions Analyst with the Credit Solutions Unit at JN Bank Limited. The incumbent will be responsible for contributing to the profitable growth of the bank's credit portfolio by assessing and analyzing the credit worthiness of Business Banking clients. Tasks will include: deal structuring, risk analysis, credit pricing and negotiation. JOB CATEGORY: MANAGER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct credit risk and financial analysis and provide recommendation of terms, conditions, pricing and covenants to provide bankable credit solutions within sound credit lending practices. Determine the adequacy and enforceability of collateral security, the financial condition of borrowers and their capacity to service the debts being presented to internal committees for approval Review the credit worthiness of all commercial loan applications, identify key risk factors related to these applications and develop a well-informed and balanced view of the borrower. Appropriately structure credits and prepare written credit proposals for presentation and approval from the various adjudicating bodies Ensure high level of service is maintained and that credit applications are presented in a professional and timely manner In conjunction with the Credit Risk Management Unit, monitor credits to effectively manage the credit quality of the portfolio within agreed limits in relation to delinquencies, non-performing ratios and established concentration limits Monitor credits to ensure that terms, conditions and covenants are adhered to at all times. Periodically conduct reviews of the Business Credit Portfolio to determine any deterioration in the risk rating of each credit and to make appropriate recommendations or take corrective action as may be required from time to time to improve the health of the portfolio Ensure that the required information to conduct the review of the Credit Portfolio is requested at least three (3) months prior to expiry of facilities. Ensuring that credits are in compliance with the company's Credit Policy and any pertinent regulations. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE First Degree in Finance, Economics, Banking and Finance, Accounting, Management Studies or related discipline Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the Financial Services industry Expert knowledge of the Banking Services Act, the Banking Amendment Act and the BOJ Regulations regarding Credit Classification, Provisioning and Non-Accrual requirements PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Confidentiality, integrity and professionalism are displayed in the execution of duties and personal conduct.
