This is an excellent opportunity for a Work Health and Safety Assurance specialist to join our Internal Audit division. You will be joining an Internal Audit team that is represented in Sydney, New York, London, Gurugram, Singapore and Hong Kong.

As the Work Health and Safety Assurance lead within Internal Audit, you will develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the relevant business divisions and the application of Macquarie's Work, Health and Safety Framework and will establish effective and professional relationships with Senior Management. You will contribute to the Work, Health and Safety assurance strategy for Internal Audit and oversee the delivery of audits across the Group's businesses and support functions and provide subject matter expertise to assist with delivery across the Internal Audit plan. You will also develop and coach the Internal Audit team in the skills required to deliver high quality audits.

You will bring with you prior experience as a risk management leader with a focus on Work Health and Safety. This role will offer you the platform to build on your knowledge of control standards and key regulations in an organisation that facilitates career development and growth.

Excellent communication skills, including negotiation and influencing, as well as the ability to build relationships at all levels, will be essential to your success. You will have exemplary self and team management skills and recognized auditing; accounting or related professional certifications will be beneficial. You will also be required to undertake internal travel, from time to time.

The Risk Management Group (RMG) is an independent, centralised unit responsible for assessing and monitoring risks across Macquarie. This includes market and liquidity risk, credit risk, compliance risk and operational risk. RMG personnel liaise closely with all operating areas to ensure risks are understood and properly managed.
