A leading Asian bank, well known commercial bank in Singapore. The main businesses of Singapore Branch include corporate lending, foreign exchange, investment securities, trade financing, international trade settlement and investment banking inquiry services.

Description
  • Direct supervision of all accounting functions including accounting entries, payments for expenses, compliance reports of the Accounts section
  • Preparation and provision of accurate and timely financial and regulatory reports in compliance with MAS/Statutory requirements
  • Overseeing a team of 5 staff
  • Ensure all daily functions are performed in compliance with manuals and established procedures
  • Review and furnish financial reports and requests from Head office
  • Liaise with external parties - auditors and authorities to ensure compliance to the regulator's requirements regarding reporting, audit and taxation matters
  • Assist for the continuous process of improvement and changes in accounting issues
  • Involve in budgeting process
  • Involve in projects, system implementations and enhancements
  • Liaise and review tax computation provided by tax agent

Profile
  • University degree in Accountancy, qualified CA
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Accounts in banking environment
  • Good analytically and communication skills and problem solving ability
  • Involvement in new MAS610 implementation is an added advantage
  • Able to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple responsibilities and deliver results
  • Proficient in Mandarin & English (both written and spoken)
  • Self motivated and good team player
  • Experienced in leading a team
