Chief Investment Officer, Private Banking

The employer is a fast growing major bank.

The exciting CIO role will be a high profile one. You are expected to: raise the profile of the bank; build brand recognition as a thought leader in investment strategy; and articulate the value proposition of the bank to all stakeholders. You will be a key member of the leadership team, driving the creation, formulation and translation of investment strategies into actionable ideas. Working closely with the Head of Private Banking, Market Heads, and Product Heads, you will lead the development of investment strategies; asset allocation calls or thematic trading ideas and collaborate with Marketing and Communications and other cross functional groups to effectively engage clients. This is an external facing role where you will be engaging with existing and prospective High net-worth (HNW) and Ultra high net-worth (UHNW) clients, and are expected to have the gravitas to represent the bank as spokesperson in the media.

You hold a degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics or related discipline with at least 15-20 years' multi-asset investments / financial markets experience, and have held similar leadership roles in the recent past. You ideally also have extensive experience in one or more of the following areas: Fund Management; Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM); Investment Advisory; Fund Management or Structured Investments. An in-depth understanding of the Asian market landscape is a must. Fluency in Asian language(s) is an advantage.
