This is an excellent interim opportunity in a highly reputable business based in the South West. This is a 6 month contract with an immediate start available for the right candidate.

My client are a well established business that are set in a great location along the M4 corridor. They also have an excellent market reputation and are leaders in their field of expertise.
Description
The key responsibilities with this role are:
- Monthly preparation of consolidated Balance Sheet, Statutory P&L, and cash flow statements, including preparation of board slides
- Suggesting and implementing agreed improvements,
- Documenting and reporting outstanding issues.
- Review all reported group companies TB's, highlighting and investigating unusual balances and agreeing actions with local accountants to resolve any issues
- Support FP&A team to ensure Management reporting is aligned to Statutory reporting, and advise on correction of differences
- Prepare, communicate and monitor the monthly accounting timetable, providing updates on progress and issues as required
- Ensure that the accounts are finalised and that subledger are closed in a timely fashion for subsidiaries and affiliates
- Maintenance and reconciliation of Group and UK balances which require accounting judgement and are material to the Group reporting
- Completion of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations and provisioning for the certain UK legal entities, and other subsidiaries accounted for from the UK
- Supporting with the maintenance of cash flow forecast model, and monthly treasury reports
- Supporting the collation and consolidation of 13-week detailed cash flow forecasts from subsidiaries and affiliate
- Responsible for the preparation of Interim reporting to IFRS, including maintaining records to audit standard
- Responsible for preparation of Group entities' UK statutory reporting, and management of overseas statutory reporting in conjunction with subsidiary team
- Will be a key point of contact when liaising with the Group's Auditors and should assist in managing the interim audit process.
Profile
The successful candidate for this role will be:
- A qualified accountant with strong technical skills
- Immediately available or on very short notice
- A good communicator at all levels
- Able to take responsibility for their own work
- Able to show initiative and provide solutions rather than issues
- In possession of strong Excel skills including pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs
- Used to working with multi-currency
