Our Client is seeking to fill the position of Group Treasurer. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the daily cash sweeps across the group. Manage the relationship with the Group's bankers to ensure the best deposit rates are achieved and service costs kept at a minimum. Monitor the Group's foreign currency exposure taking steps to mitigate translation and economic exposures. Ensure that cash is deployed in a tax efficient manner through active consultation with Group Tax. Prepare a 12 month rolling forecast of currency requirements and ensure that the Group is adequately covered at all times. Manage the Group's issuance of LC's; the cheque guarantee faculty and other financial arrangements with the commercial banks. Conduct analysis of the weighted average cost of capital (WACC) for each company and the Group and to advise of any changes to policy. Monitor the subsidiaries working capital (inventory and receivables) Maintain a register of capex with proper documentation. Manage all intercompany treasury balances ensuring that all advances are approved and backed by term sheets. Enforce the collection of the treasury advances. Weekly reporting of progress against pre-established KPIs and against milestones Perform other duties as assigned by the Group Finance Director from time to time COMPETENCIES: Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including planning, organizing, prioritizing and scheduling Able to manage changing departmental priorities while maintaining team focus on deliverables Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting applications (knowledge of SAP is desirable) Ability to interact and build rapport quickly with all levels of the organization inclusive of Line Managers and Executives. Excellent written and problem solving skills required Accuracy and attention to detail Strong time management and organizational skills Self-starter and fast learner with an interest and desire for growth and development Ability to work in a team environment toward the achievement of the Department's goals QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in Business/Management or Accounting. Professional accounting designation (ACCA, CIMA, CMA, CPA) or Masters in Accounting would be an asset Eight (8) to ten (10) years' work experience in a Banking/Treasury environment, of which, at least, three (3) to five (5) must be at the Senior level Experience in accounting is desirable We wish to thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those favourably considered will be contacted.
