The role of Finance Assistant is an exciting opportunity to work with a world renowned architecture company based within the City of London. The opportunity poses the chance to gain experience within a finance team working across multiple countries and projects.

The Architecture company based in the City of London is receiving ever more worldwide interest and has completed projects in New York, London, Europe and many other places. They work on prestigious and world renowned buildings, along with private houses, exhibitions and civic centres.

Description

The role Finance Assistant, involves:

- Raising sales invoices in accordance with project cash flow schedules

- Meeting with Project Directors and Managers to identify timing of raising invoices

- Chasing debtors for any outstanding payments

- Batching filing and coding invoices

- Staff expenses: filing, coding, batching and paying

- Monthly credit card reconciliations tying invoices with transactions

- Liaising with oversees departments to identify cash flow needs close to month end

- UK VAT return

- Working with HR to collate payroll information on a monthly basis

- Making salary payments at month end

- Other ad hoc financial duties

Profile

The successful candidate - Finance Assistant will:

- Have experience using Sage 50

- Have a passion and a want to learn within accounts and finance roles

- Be confident and personable

- A finance / accounting related degree + 1-2 years experience or equivalent experience

- High attention to detail
