Accountant

On behalf of a business based in the centre of Reading I am recruiting for a permanent Accountant to join their market leading finance team.

Description

The successful applicant for this Accountant role will be responsible for the following key tasks:

• Review of financial material mid-month and month end journals applying knowledge of financial and management accounting
• Support the finance team in the preparation of supporting journal calculations for complex journals
• Profit and loss preparation
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Management Reporting for the group
• Statutory Reporting
• Management of the Fixed Assets register

Profile

To be considered for this permanent role you must posses the following:

• AAT Qualified and studying the middle stages of ACCA or CIMA
• Be educated to a degree level in a numerical subject or equivalent
• Have previously worked in an accounts role for the past 2-3 years
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to use Excel to an intermediate standard including Pivot Tables and V-Look Ups
