Finance Manager

Our client, a medium sized business operating in the wholesale and retail of food and beverage , is seeking to recruit and retain a qualified individual for the position of Finance Manager. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Finance Manager will be responsible for leading the execution of the Company's Accounting functions: Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be required to perform the following: Management of daily accounting functions: Implementing and maintaining a strong system of internal control through the adoption and use of accounting policies and procedures; Preparation of monthly management accounts and other periodic reports on a timely basis; Preparation of budgets and cashflow projections; Responsible for the prudent investment of the company's financial resources; Monitoring of forecasts and performance against budget; Liaise with financial institutions, suppliers, customers and other third parties and ensure that good relationships are maintained; Should be a self- starter, strong team player and possess excellent communication skills Qualifications & Skills Required The ideal candidate will possess the following: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Pursuing professional accounting designation e.g. (ACCA, CGA, ACMA, CPA or equivalent) Excellent knowledge of business operations and risk-based techniques attained through a minimum of 3-5 years progressive work experience within the Accounting field. Ability to manage and supervise internal accounting staff efficiently Systems knowledge and familiarity Proficiency in MS Office Suite and accounting software; Candidates should also be adaptable and detail oriented, and possess strong negotiation skills. Excellent written and oral communication, analytical, time management and organizational skills are also required. Compensation will be determined commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
