The Market Research Analyst will support the Marketing Manager to assess consumer preferences in order to assist with determining how to shape, advertise, and market the products and services of the company. Gather information on competitors, prices, methods of marketing and distribution and interpret the data to assist with making better informed decisions about product introductions, modifications and marketing campaigns. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Key Responsibilities: Collect and analyze data on customer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand Research competitors and analyze their prices, sales, and marketing methods to determine potential markets, product demand, and pricing Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting data such as interviews, surveys, focus groups, opinion polls, questionnaires or arrange to obtain existing data Convert complex data and findings into understandable tables, graphs, and prepare reports of findings Monitor and forecast marketing and sales trends Measure the effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies Qualifications/Experience A Bachelor Degree in Marketing / Economics / Statistics or a business related discipline Significant and proven experience (2-5 years) with both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Ability to be proactive & independent in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Proven skills including strong consumer insight background and passion, initiative, strategic and analytic and communication. Ability to understand business strategies, tactics and implement measurable research plans is recommended Special knowledge, skills, abilities and aptitudes A strong passion for empirical research and for answering hard questions with information. A flexible analytic approach that allows for results at varying levels of precision Ability to communicate complex quantitative analyses in a clear, precise, and actionable manner Ability to pay keen attention to detail High level of confidentiality, integrity, reliability Ability to meet tight deadlines Highly developed planning, organizing and coordinating skills Excellent presentation communication skills Ability to write clear, concise reports Knowledge of Risk Management would be an asset Self-managed and team oriented Application Procedures Applications should be submitted on or before Wednesday, March 13, 2019 either electronically with the subject line Market Research Analyst.
