Assistant Financial Accountant

On behalf of a business based in the centre of Reading I am recruiting for a Permanent Assistant Financial Accountant to join their rapidly expanding finance team.

Description

The successful applicant for this permanent role will get exposure to the following key tasks:

• Providing professional and effective support to the Financial Accountant and the wider Finance team
• Taking ownership of various accounting and reporting processes which deliver financial reports that
  feed into the wider reporting packs
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly and year-end financial accounts and related schedules
• Assisting in the production and submission of quarterly, half yearly and annual submissions to the
  Group
• Recommending and implementing process improvements to improve control and efficiency
• Maintaining effective and efficient relationships with other areas of the business and with external
  specialists
• Preparing and maintaining accounting and financial reporting process documentation
• Preparing monthly reconciliations for a number of balance sheet accounts ensuring that any
  outstanding items are investigated and cleared as appropriate

Profile

To be considered for this permanent role you must posses the following:

• Be actively studying towards ACCA or CIMA
• Be educated to a degree level in a numerical subject or equivalent
• Exposure to the majority of the above tasks
• Have a good working knowledge of accounting processes and reporting
• Have a intermediate level of Excel (vlook-ups, Pivot tables)
