Page Personnel Finance are recruiting for an Accountant to join our client, a leading Property Investment company located in London's West End.

Due to extensive growth across their property portfolio, an opportunity has arisen for an Accountant to join their Accountancy and Finance division based in their London West End office.
Description
Located in London's West End, our client is looking for an Accountant with responsibility for the following duties:
- Controlling expenses and processing all payments for the business
- Handling and resolving financial queries
- Managing and maintaining accounting software database
- Monthly journal postings - various sales, purchase, inter-company journals, accruals/prepayments
- Reconciling profit and loss and balance sheet accounts
- Monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, rental income, credit cards, loan interest computations, payroll, bonds
- Dealing with the banks re bank accounts, mandates and loans, and carry weekly banking errands
- Booking currency rates and processing international transfers
- Assisting in a preparation of the year end group consolidated financial statements
- Carrying annual audit preparation, liasing with external auditors
- Producing & submitting quarterly VAT returns to HMRC on a timely basis
- Managing Cash flow for the business and reporting to the FD
- Assisting in preparation of quarterly consolidated management accounts for board meetings
- Producing detailed Variance Analysis reports, Income & Expenses, Aged Creditors/Debtors reports
- Managing Project Development Accounts and ensuring all project costs within budget
- Assisting FD with budget and forecast preparation
- Managing office Petty Cash
- Identify and develop internal controls to ensure all risks are efficiently dealt with
- Running monthly payroll and pension processes
Profile
Previous Bookkeeping/Accountant experience
Ideally practical experience of Payroll
Prior work experience as an Accountant in Property Investment would be advantageous
The candidate will be actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification
Job Offer
Salary of £35,000 - £40,000
