Assistant Accountant

My client is a stable, cash rich commercial business who are looking to further strengthen their friendly Finance team with the addition of an Assistant Accountant for their expanding site based in Stoke on Trent.

As the Assistant Accountant; you will be required to work closely with the Finance Manager in supporting the growth of the team while mentoring your own direct report.

Day to day duties will also require you to provide meaningful financial data to support the wider business.

Other duties will include:

-Full balance sheet reconciliation
-Calculate VAT returns
-Cash flow forecasting
-Managing both ledgers
-Intercompany reconciliations
-Assist with the yearend audit
-Support wider finance projects on an adhoc basis

To be successful in this position you will be AAT Qualified and studying towards your ACCA or CIMA Qualifications and be a strong team player eager to make your mark on a commercial business.

As this is a key role within the organisation, previous experience of working in a similar accounts related role is vital in order for you to hit the ground running.
