Assistant Accountant - URGENT

Whilst offering a solid salary PLUS benefits, they are seeking to apoint an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their accountancy team on a permanent basis. The duties and responsibilities for this role will include but are not limited to:

- Production of monthly aged debt reports and credit control
- Monthly accounts and variance reporting
- Accruals / prepayments / journals
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets
- Assist with the quarterly and year end accounts
- Assist with the preparation of VAT returns
- Cash handling and daily banking of monies
- Sales and purchase ledger
- Banking transactions

The ideal candidate will possess:

- A good understanding of accounting concepts, processes and controls
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel
- An eye for detail
- An organised and calming mindset
- A strong numeric and analytical skill set
