An absolutely superb new opening for a bright, motivated and highly numerate individual to join a world class organisation.

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic finance professional to become part of their team to provide support to the finance department across two successful business units. The role is Oxford based within a finance team of 15 and will report directly to the Financial Accountant.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a busy finance department in a similar high volume transactional role. Key skills will include good organisational and time management, strong core accounting/double entry skills and an ability to quickly gain an in-depth understanding of new accounting and cash management systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial accounts for the Rentals and Experiences business units across its U.S., Australian and U.K. entities. This will include the preparation and posting of journals into our Workday accounting system
  • Provide assistance to the Financial Accountant in the completion of monthly PayPal, Braintree, AMEX and BOA cash reconciliations during month-end close. Ensure reconciling items are clearly aged and resolved in a timely manner
  • Assist when required in deep analytical dives into various P&L and balance sheet accounts to help senior management understand results versus forecast
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for upload into Blackline in accordance with internal SOX controls
  • Any other ad hoc duties that may be required


What We Seek:
  • The successful candidate must have at least AAT level 3 or equivalent
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work in a complex, collaborative and changing environment while staying focused on key goals and objectives
  • Experience of working in a forward looking and innovative environment, ideally internet-based or FMCG
  • Skills and Software: good knowledge of MS Excel required. Experience with SQL and Workday a plus
