Temporary Assistant Accountant job, ongoing till Easter with successful company based at Manchester Airport.

Your new role
Working with the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for resolving any queries from the transactional team, on the purchase/sales ledger through to the trial balance. You will process purchase invoice authorisation, resolve queries, payment runs and dealing with multi-currency. You will also control the cash and ban reconciliation. Using the in-house system and Excel you will manipulate data in order to check and itemise costings.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a proven background with solid high volume transactional experience with an understanding of an accounts department as a whole. Therefore experience of both purchase and sales ledger through to balancing at month end is required, ideally AAT qualified or equivalent background. Able to work on your own initiative, adaptable and to take ownership for any problems in order to offer solutions are required, along with strong IT skills. Due to a strong team environment, you will offer a confident and personable manner with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach (internal and external), able to meet targets and be proactive.
