Assistant Accountant

Page Personnel are currently recruiting an Assistant Accountant for an SME manufacturing business initially based in Central Sheffield, with a view to moving to Chesterfield within the next 6 months.

Client Details

This progressive business continue to grow and develop within their market and as a result of the products they manufacture and are now looking for another person to add to their established team. They are looking for a progressive Assistant Accountant to join the finance team based in Sheffield/Chesterfield.

The client are looking to receive applications from ambitious graduates with some finance experience or AAT studiers looking to take the next step up.

Description

The successful Assistant Accountant will: look after consolidated accounts, deal with all compliance related problems, production of full audit packs, Month end reporting - Accruals, internal recharges, review of profit & loss accounts and production of monthly reporting pack, Assist in the preparation of budgets and preparation of overhead forecasts, Cash flow - Preparation of budgeted cash flow and maintenance of weekly forecasts, Quarterly VAT preparation, cost management and reconciliations and other ad hoc duties as required.

Profile

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant with the following;

• AAT/ACCA/CIMA Studier
• Experience within a similar position
• Driven, ambitious and enthusiastic attitude
• Great Excel skills
• Strong communication skills

Job Offer
