- To provide financial guidance to the commercial team on a monthly basis, to ensure reliable & accurate project accounting.
- Assisting the Financial Controller, within the UK finance department to fulfil the needs and obligations of the business.

Description
Produce accurate project accounts for inclusion with the monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis for larger projects.
Maintain and develop the project costing system to accurately record financial performance on projects.
Produce budgets and forecasts for all key projects, including continuous monitoring and immediately highlighting variances to senior Management.
Prepare project cash flow forecasts for inclusion within the weekly rolling cash flow forecast.
Ensure that POC accounting adjustments are reconciled and agreed with the Financial Controller and discrepancies are resolved.
Preparation and execution of payroll for project staff where necessary, ensuring payments are made in line with local minimum wage laws & legislation.
Assist with preparation of monthly Management Accounts, including consolidation into Head Office reporting pack.
Assist in maintaining the integrity of the UK accounting systems (currently Sage) and to ensure backups are regularly made.
Assist the Financial Controller with the group requirements as and when they arise.
Assist with the year end audit and production of the statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
Guide the commercial team with the financial aspects of tendering, including initial job costings and scenario cash flow forecasts.
Review large tenders that have been prepared and convert into an appropriate format for reporting purposes.
Any other tasks pertinent to the role, as and when required.
Profile
Numerate with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial people.
Organised and able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Excellent IT skills, particularly excel, graphs, and power point.
