The role of Commercial Finance Manager sits within a well known company and will incorporate Commercial Analysis, Finance Business Partnering and Team Management. The role will look to seek and provide detailed Commercial Analysis to ensure the Business is striving for growth and maximising sales through process improvement. The role is based in Banbury, North Oxfordshire.

The Business is located in Banbury and is a well known brand within the Oxford market. They are in a period of impressive growth. Due to this they are looking to increase their Commercial Finance team and appoint a talented and Commercially focused Finance Manager.

Description

The role of Commercial Finance Manager acts as a finance business partner to sales and marketing, providing clear visibility of financial and commercial implications to support profitable commercial decision making.

Supports in holding the business to account for delivery of sales, margin and pricing targets.

Develop reporting and tools to enhance sales and margin reporting to aid accuracy and visibility of financial information.

Develop accurate daily, weekly and monthly reporting and use of KPIs to drive business performance and review and aid decision making

Support commercial teams with budgeting and forecasting process whilst encouraging self-service and help to drive forecast accuracy

Work with sales and marketing to develop and monitor Account / Brand action plans to realise opportunities and mitigate risks

Co-ordinate the annual budget and monthly forecast for sales, reinforcing financial timetable and ensuring deadlines are met

Profile

  • Experience in commercial roles

  • Evidence of influencing business decision making

  • Experience in managing budgeting / planning activities with non-finance teams

  • Ability to provide quality insight from analysis performed & explain clearly including to non-finance teams

  • Able to challenge & support the sales & marketing teams to achieve business goals

Proactive approach to problem solving in commercial context
