For our client, top-tier Digital Media company we are looking for candidates on the position of Regional Finance / Business Controller. In this role you'll be responsible for part of the region.

Detailed job description


  • Enroll newly acquired companies into the company's structure, systems, rules;

  • Support the standardisation of performance reporting process and outputs across; work closely with the outsourced IT support in order to automatize the management reporting;

  • Develop performance measures that support the Group; ensure automatic calculation

  • Secure timely and accurate reporting of financial and operational information

  • Coordinate any group level adjustments made to the financial statements - cooperation with Group Finance and Controlling;

  • Being the first point of contact for the local companies for any corporate related matters in terms of controlling, finance, tax and legal matters;

  • Maintain relations with external auditors

  • Prepare ad hoc reports as required;

  • Monthly closing: ensure the deadlines from the monthly closing are followed; ensure that all data is reported in both financial and management accounting system, reconcile the numbers and consolidate the results;

  • Prepare the monthly set of reports for the management (eg. consolidated income statement, product group report)

  • Maintain the master data (chart of account and all controlling dimensions) ensuring that they meet the needs of management reporting;

  • Perform relevant financial controls (deviation analyses vs. PY, budget and forecasts), contact the finance responsible person for explanation;

  • Liaison with top management; facilitating the discussions regarding management reporting needs and proposing the solutions;

  • Participation in monthly Business Review meetings/ calls;

  • Facilitate the budget and forecast process, standardise the budget/ forecast pack.

  • Prepare the Board Reporting pack for the mother company

We are looking forward to meeting Candidates who have


  • Master degree in finance, economics

  • IFRS knowledge (ACCA or CIMA would be an asset)

  • At least 3- 4 years' experience in audit or on the position of finance / business controller in multinational organisation;

  • Preferably experience or knowledge about operations of B2B media or information services or another type of recurring revenue operations;

  • Strong business application skills (Microsoft Excel, VBA); experience in Jedox & OCRA would be an asset;

  • Strong analytical skills;

  • Very good command of English, 90% of work will be done in English;

  • Can communicate effectively throughout a business all levels.

  • Can work remotely

  • Ability to learn quickly, development mind-set, curiousness and flexibility;

  • Eagerness to learn new things including IT area (development of reporting tools)

  • Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections;

  • Having hands-on, can-do attitude, and a love for adding value and making an impact;

  • Being able to travel from time to time;

  • Commercial awareness; business partnering;

  • Basic knowledge of OLAP modelling concept would be an asset
