The job is for someone ideally that has experience in both management accounts and analysis, namely within media/publishing. You'd be joining a vibrant team of analysts in the heart of East London and gather some valuable experience within a growing company and industry.
Client Details
The client is a renowned publishing company based in the heart of East London. They have recently acquired some big name newspapers and due to expansion, there is a need for a junior data analyst to join their team.
Description
The key responsibilities include the following:
- Provide support to the digital finance manager and digital finance director across group, nationals and regional's
- Extracting data for analysis from core systems to build robust reporting (DFP/Google Analytics/Facebook/GL/ASP/BPC)
- Maintenance of digital metric data in SAP BPC
- Business partner with commercial and product & engineering teams to produce KPI reporting on digital performance and variance analysis of monthly revenue and costs
- Ownership of month end management accounts for product and engineering
- Helping to train and mentor a junior analyst
- Creation and maintenance of financial reports (tables/graphs etc) and building excel models as required
- Liaise with the accounting hubs on matters where required
- Involvement in business cases and financial analysis
- Producing the weekly forecast for digital revenue and P&E costs
- Prepare monthly board report for Group Digital and P&E
- Cover work tasks during holidays, sickness and absence - across both functions
Profile
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Part qualified in CIMA/ACCA (or at least actively studying)
- Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills (SAP BPC skills preferable)
- Strong interpersonal and decision making skills
- Able to work on projects unsupervised or as part of a team
- Previous 2-3 years' experience in similar finance analyst role preferable
- Knowledge of Media/Publishing industry preferable
