Client Details

The client is a very large and well-established NHS Foundation Trust in North London, with lots of opportunity for progression as they are very committed to developing their finance team.

Description

The role includes, but is not limited to;

• Delivery of an expert Financial Management function, providing accurate and timely financial reports to budget-holders

• Working on substantial Cost Improvement Programmes (CIP), to establish effective cost-saving measures, whilst maintaining a high level of patient care within the trust

• Managing and motivating a small team of Band 7 and Band 5 financial professionals, providing guidance and support to the team

• Expert knowledge of Management Account responsibilities, including monthly revenue reporting, and budgetary control

Profile

You as the successful candidate will be;

• CCAB qualified accountant (either ACA, ACCA or CIMA)

• Have an excellent track-record of Financial Management function

• Strong communication, influencing and presentation skills - being able to present financial findings to budget-holders

• Ability to analyse large quantities of data and interpret and present this in reports

• Hands on approach, with good resilience, managing large budgets

• A solid understanding of the financial challenges facing the NHS in Hospital Trusts

• Preferable although not essential would be previous financial experience within the NHS and experience of being in a managerial position of any size of team
